"From the minute A&E doctors informed us that Millie was extremely unwell and needed immediate medical treatment on the 8th October 2025, life changed for us all.

None of us were able to carry out our usual daily routines and lives, we as a family were all plummeted into the unknown and lived in fear and uncertainty of Millie’s future.

Now 10 months since that date, Millie has had a successful bone marrow transplant and is recovering.

To receive such generous wishes and also the overall support from the team, families and donors at the Children with Cancer Fund feels like as a family and as individual relatives to Millie, we have been seen, considered and acknowledged throughout the journey of Millie’s diagnosis.

As a family we received three Gold Merlin passes, two gift cards for retail shops of our choosing, gift card for theatre experiences/shows, package of spa wellness floats, a kindle, gaming computer mouse, gaming chair and an incredible Lego set.

We are most excited for the days out that the Merlin passes will bring. It’s amazing quality time for us all to come together and make invaluable memories and share laughter. It also feels like we are gaining our freedom back after endless months upon months of isolation as a family and being unable to go anywhere, it feels surreal that Millie is well enough to even be able to leave the house so these days trips will really feel magical. We will certainly be making up for lost time.

The difference and impact these wishes will bring is definitely the reminder to us all of Millie’s journey and how far we’ve all come and how far Millie has come. They remind us to be present, grateful and that resilience pays off. Especially to Millie and her siblings."
