A Pizza Masterclass
Our families just love making pizza! Our pizza making events are always very popular, so we went to Rustico in Hailsham during October for a fun morning of yummy pizza and lots of laughs.
Expert Tuition
Under the expert guidance of the lovely Rustico staff, our families spent the day making, kneading and shaping dough for their pizza bases. The dough was “fun and sticky”, so we heard from one of our children. They all relished the chance to get messy and needed no encouragement to get stuck in.
Once the pizza bases had been shaped, it was time to add the toppings! The classics are always the best, so we went for a plain cheese and tomato pizza.
The completed pizzas were all lined up on the counter and we all waited patiently for the pizzas to be baked to perfection by the amazing chefs.
Friendly Atmosphere
While waiting, there was no time to be bored. The children met and played with old friends and made new ones. The adults chatted and updated each other about hospital visits and treatment, safe in the knowledge that they were among people who truly understood their journey and were able to relax, knowing their children were safe and happy.
The atmosphere throughout was friendly and relaxed, just like the best family reunion.
Time to Taste
At last, everyone’s rumbling tummies could be satisfied. The pizzas were ready, and we all sat round together to devour them. The chat paused only briefly as we all enjoyed the first few mouthfuls.
Once the families had finished eating, it signalled the end of another successful event.
