New Dream Maker for 2026

Following the completion of our 25 Dreams Campaign, we would love to have 26 Dream Makers commit to donating £26 per month in 2026 to become part of our CWCF Dream Team.

By donating this amount, our Dream Makers would become an integral part of our mission to support children and families battling childhood cancer, from diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.

Why It Matters

Cancer is one of the most devastating diseases affecting children today and it has a profound and far-reaching emotional impact on everyone it touches. Children miss out on just being children, their young lives being scarred with painful medical procedures, cruel treatments and months or even years of isolation. On top of this is the financial strain faced by many families who have a child undergoing gruelling cancer treatment 🎗️

The wishes, social events and holidays we provide for our families, don't make it all better.... nothing ever can. But what they can do is bring smiles and joy to a challenging time and give families a chance to focus on enjoyment rather than illness.

Introducing one of our new Dream Makers

We have already had some incredible people sign up to be a 2026 Dream Maker, and we are thrilled to introduce the very first of these, Matt Grant.

How did you first find out about the work of CWCF?

Through one of Chris Downton's presentations at a networking event a few years ago - where he explained what the charity does and the magical events they put on for children & families.

What inspired you to become a Dream Maker?

Two things:

1. A very close family member died of cancer a few years ago, and since then I have heard of more and more people having it - including children

2. Chris - and all the hard work that he and your team do.

I love the concept of the monthly donation amount being linked to the year - it makes it easy to manage through standing order, it makes it easier for the charity to plan, and it means that people can keep donating more each year!

What impact do you hope your donations will make?

If this can help just one family to have a happy event to look forward to - whether that's an experience, a day out, or a small holiday - then that will make it all worthwhile.
